The first annual Inglewood Cherry Blossom Festival will be celebrated on April 16 from 11am to 5pm. The public will enjoy booths that include artists, music, children activities and food at the Riverside Village Alley located at the corner of Riverside Drive and McGavock Pike. Good food and other specials will also be found at the restaurants and businesses in the immediate area. Proceeds of the event go to the continuation of planting the lovely trees on the Riverside Drive median from Gallatin to Shelby Park.

Riverside Drive was once the connection between Belle Meade and the National Cemetery on Gallatin Road, which is now dedicated to our American Servicemen who fought in the World Wars I & II and the Korean War. These trees will reestablish the beautiful drive to the beauty it once was. Inglewood is celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival with the spirit of Japanese, the celebration in Washington DC, and the events scheduled in Nashville. For more information about the festival contact the Inglewood Neighborhood Association at tviglietti@comcast.net.

Mission Statment

We are pleased to announce that the Inglewood Neighborhood Association, Inc. (INA) will hold its first annual Inglewood Cherry Blossom festival this Spring on April 16, 2011, from 11 am ‘til 5pm.

The festival’s theme builds on the rich symbolism of the Cherry Blossom in Japanese culture, the herald of spring, new life and the transience of life.  Proceeds from the festival will be used to restore the median of historic Riverside Drive with continued plantings of the beautiful Yoshino Cherry tree.

INA's Involvement

The festival will benefit the Inglewood Neighborhood Association in their continuation of planting trees to beautify Riverside Drive and the Inglewood community.
